Fat Sheep Farm feels secluded but is close to popular tourist destinations. We are only a 10 minute drive from I-91. We are 11 miles south of Woodstock and Quechee. The Green Mountain Horse Association is only a 6 mile drive. Both Okemo Mountain and Killington Mountain are a 45 minute drive away. Driving Directions from I91:
Get off at exit 9 on I-91. Head into the town of Hartland. If you are coming on I-91S make a right off the exit ramp, or if you are coming on I-91N you'll make a left off the exit ramp. As you head into town you will see a Mobile station on your right. There will then be a split in the road, stay left at the split. At the stop sign, make a left onto RT 12N. Head north on RT 12 for about 2 miles. After traveling about 2 miles, you will see 3 mannequins in a shop window on your right. After you pass the mannequins, there will be a left turn. Take that left onto Brownsville Rd. Travel down Brownsville Rd for about 2 miles. Best Road will be on your right. Make a right onto Best Road. Most GPS devices say that we are on the corner of Best Road and Brownsville Road. This is INCORRECT. Head up the hill on Best Road for about one mile. Once you reach the top of the hill, you will see a log cabin on your right, our farm is the next property after the log cabin on the right - 122 Best Road. The driveways are right next to each other.
ALTERNATIVE SNOW ROUTE:
When coming to the property on the Brownsville Road, you want to turn RIGHT about a quarter mile before Best Road onto Jenneville Road. Travel down Jenneville Road slowly to spot a small left turn onto Best Road (it's about 2 miles from Brownsville Rd to Best Road). Travel on Best Rd for a little less than one mile and our farm will be on the left. This will bring you up to the farm on a more gradual incline than if you were to come up the other side of Best Road (the way your GPS would direct you to go).
